To Whon it may concern:
I would very much like to learn Russian because I have a dear friend in the Ukraine who does not speak English. I would very much like to communicate with her. I do not know any Russian although my grandparents are from Minsk. I would like a sole emphasis on conversation. I would want 2 hours of instruction a week and I would be willing to put in two additional hours of practice. I would like a teacher who is a native speaker, will customize the instruction to my needs and has patience with the difficulties I might encounter.
I am a professor at University of Georgia and love to learn. I have a PhD and I'm very motivated to learn Russian.

I want to learn a language because I'm married to a native speaker.
I am probably at the intermediate level now because I haven't tried to speak spanish consistently enough in the past 7 years. My wife speaks spanish fluently (she's dominican) and her family does as well so I'd like to participate more in family conversations . I understand almost everything but have no confidence and sometimes have to pause to think how to say something. My wife has no patience, otherwise I could learn from her but since we always speak english to each other, it's too weird.
I used to be very good in grammar. I still know the rules, just not the official names for the tenses. Conversation is what I need practice in.
I've taken spanish classes at community colleges and they haven't helped me that much because it's not enough 1 on 1 conversation. I'm ready to dedicate at least a couple hours a week. I would like to be able to say whatever I want to say (& understand) by the end of this year.
Most ly, I need a teacher who is flexible. I don't want someone with strict lessons and teaching me from a book, I've done that already. I can say most things I just need someone to help me clean it up & find better ways for me to say things. Also, I want to be able to ask lots of questions on how I should say certain things. I don't necessarily care about being able to write perfectly and know where accents go & stuff. I just want to be able to speak to my wife's family in spanish with confidence as many of them cannot speak english at all.

I want to advance my Spanish for both professional and personal reasons. On a scale to 1-10 I beleive I am about a 6-7. I can read, write, and speak but the understanding has taken a bit of a hit. I need improvement in conversation. My job hasn't required me to speak any Spanish in over a year so besides my Spanish music, I have no exposure.
I am willing to do two times a week for two hours of preferably a group class of people at my same level. I want the lessons to be strictly in Spanish unless someone forgets a word and the instructor breifly reminds them. Also I'd like other people to be at the same level as I. Periodical grammar lessons with difficult subjects (preterite/im perfect, anything subjunctive, expressions) would be beneficial as well.
