I took Chinese in college for two years. Upon completing this, my Chinese was intermediate, however, this was over five years ago and I have not used the language since. I plan on beginning an international relations masters program in approximately two years. I would like to gain proficiency prior to beginning the program.
I can dedicate approximately 2 hours a day to studying Chinese. I am looking for approximately 1-2 one hour lessons/week to begin with the expectation that this will expand to 3-4 lessons per week once I find the appropriate tutor.

-I would like to learn Japanese because I wish to live there someday. I also want to go and study abroad there for one year- my junior year of college (I'm currently a Freshman at U of W Madison).
-My proficiency level is currently beginner. However, I have taken one year of Japanese my senior year of high school and I completed one semester of Japaense at U of W Madison. That included the completion of the textbook Genki I. (I really wish to find someone to tutor me in Genki II.)
-I feel that I need improvement in areas; such as grammar, speaking, writing and reading.
-I am willing to learn 5-7 days a week; if my tutor is willing to teach me that much. If not, then atleast a couple sessions a week.
-The qualities that I am looking for in my teacher are the following: creativeness, understanding to different learning types, patience, good in the areas of grammar, speaking, writing and reading, kind and thorough. The qualities that I look for in my lesson are the following: fun, creative, heavy on grammar, speaking, writing and reading, full of useful information and atleast an hour long.
