I am looking for a German (native) teacher. I would like to learn German because my ancestors were German, I would like to travel to Germany, and I enjoy learning languages. I only know a few words in German, so I am a beginner. English is my native language and I also speak French, which is getting rusty from lack of practice. I will devote a few hours a week to class and homework to learn German. I am looking for a teacher who is patient, fun, and enthusiastic. I know grammar is important, but I would like to spend more time building vocabulary and speaking rather than conjugating verbs. I was first exposed to French through immersion and I found that to be a good, albeit challenging, learning method. I am open to private lessons or small groups and cost is a key factor for me as well.
