Hi,
I would like to take Hebrew lessons once a week, with homework!
I was born in Israel - my father is Israeli - but Hebrew was not spoken at home. Through listening to family, etc., I can speak basic Hebrew, but I have never really studied it properly. I know the alphabet and can read on a basic level, but I would like to build up my fundamental skills so that I can speak correctly. I have learned French, Spanish and Portuguese so I am familiar with grammar (and I enjoy it!). I work in South Beach, so I would like classes after work if possible (I finish at 6pm). I would like my language teacher to be dynamic, to correct me a lot, be very patient, to not speak English with me (I can speak Hebrew all day long if you are patient!) and to have a solid knowledge of Hebrew grammar and literature.

My work takes me to Japan often and I am the manager for some people there who are in my company. I have done some self learning and can say simple things, but i don't know enough to understand what people are saying. I am particularly need improvement in conversation, because I have not found a good way to study this on my own. I would like to do this by voice chat.

Hi, I'm Xia Gordon. I've been self-studying Japanese on and off for about two years now, and have only just recently become more serious about it because the possibility of studying abroad is actually being considered by my parents! I'm not sure what proficiency I would be, but I do know this; I have a pretty good understanding on how to conjugate verbs (thanks to Spanish class),and I know a good deal of conversationa l Japanese. I really think I would need improvement in writing, reading, listening and understanding the language. Ha, I know this is a lot, but I am an avid, eager learner. As far as time goes, I'd like to spend ALL of my time studying Japanese but things just can't go that way. :)I'm almost positive though I could attend these lessons after school on most days. I'd like to have lessons with other students AND one on one. I'm all for homework, and self-study. As I said before, the main reason I'd like to have these lessons is because it's a prerequisite for the program. I'm also just fascinated with it! :D
