Hi,
I want to learn Mandarin Chinese, because I think it would be a good step to take. If I want to become a travel agents. I would be in the befinners group because I have no experience in speaking chinese. I would be able to dedicate 1 to 2 hours day everyday (doesn't have to be everyday though). I'm not looking really for any qualities in a teacher other then, 1. speaks english well enough to understand, 2. Is reliable.

Dear Potential Teacher,
I am extremely interested in learning to fluently read, write, understand and speak Chinese (Mandarin).
My proficiency level is 0. (Absolute beginner!)
The reasons for which I desire to learn the language are mostly business related. I believe that China will be the next economic super power and do not want to be left behind. I also find the orient a fascinating place with much to offer and would love to take the opportunity to learn more about its culture and history as well. I've ordered a few books on China, which I should receive in a couple of weeks so that I can learn more about it in my spare time.
I would prefer if he/she would provide me with English/Chine se textbooks and work books that include audio CD's with authentic Mandarin speaking narration since tonal accuracy is very important to me and to learning the language. These I would use to practice and learn in addition to video conferencing. (I will pay for them, and the shipping of course!)

I don't know any mandarin. I go training everyday with chinese women and would like to have a conversation. I am going to China next October and would like the most of my trip. Eventually, I would like to do business there.
I would like to learn conversation only. I would be ready to spend 2-4 hours a week on classes depending on the cost. I am looking for a dynamic person who has a good culture.
