I want to learn Chinese Mandarin. I am English, managing director of my own company working in the shipyards and feel it would be an advantage to learn Mandarin as this is the native tongue of most of the higher management. I will require flexible dates as I normally spend two weeks a month in Singapore, the rest of the time spent in my offices in UK, Poland and Ireland. The course will be for myself and my CEO finance officer who is also English and has the same work pattern.

high beginner-elem entary student, lived in Beijing for 9 months and gained a good base for Mandarin. Have been studying for 10 months. I am looking for a native speaker preferably one who came from Beijing, to tutor me at a reasonable rate. Because I am a law student so my time and money are limited, I have the new practical reader that I would like to work from and I am looking for conversation and grammar practice first but I am also studying to read and write.

I want to learn chinese because I like watching Chinese films and tv drama and I don't want to wait for the English subtitle for me to understand what I'm watching... I know it's quite weird but that's really the reason. IN the future also I may work abroad and who knows I might work in a Chinese speaking country. I am pretty tied up with my schedule but I want to have 3 sessions in a week for 3 hours. I just hope the teacher would be very patient because I'm really a serious learner and I ask a lot of questions.
