Hello,
My name is Michelle and I am interested in learning Italian.
I have started to study using books and online but am still a beginner. I am interested in learning Italian because I am planning a trip to Italy in May 2007 and would like to be able to speak the language and not just bumble through it. I would like to be able to spend about 2 hours per week with a teacher and then be able to study on my own. I would like a teacher who is patient and able to help me learn to carry on an infromative conversation with the people in Italy.

I am a beginner, a 58 year old businessman, who loves traveling, especially to Italy. I would like to learn conversationa l Italian. I am flexible with the amount of time I can devote to both learning to speak and learning to understand when spoken to. I have my own business and have as much time as I want to accomplish this. I would like a practical estimate from my teacher on how much time I need to devote to learning the language. I suppose my goal would be to be reasonably competant by summer, 2007.
The only quality I would look for in a teacher is to be committed to helping me accomplish my goal.

My partner and I are interested in learning Italian for conversation and also for the ability to secure employment in Italy. We are both beginners. I am also interested in someone who can offer text messaging as I have that method of communication available to me during the daytime. We can dedicate at least weekly and possibly more time to the instructions and are open to individual as well as group instruction.

No backgroung in Italian yet, But i really want to learn, start as soon as posible, and i can dedicate about 3-6 hours a week... most likely weekends.
