Greetings,
I am currently at the beginner level of spanish. My ethnic background is Hispanic but spanish was never spoken in our home when we were growing up. I want to learn spanish because it is an important way for me to connect with my cultural. I have always felt that I have been missing out on a lot of things because I do not speak and understand very little spanish. I would like to dedicate up to 10 hours a week to begin with. I want an instructor who is patient but strict with my mistakes and most importantly I want to be able to communicate with someone in spanish when I am finished with my lessons. I don't need to have a full out philosophical discussion but at least all the basics of regular daily communication .

I am at an intermediate level in all languages. I have taken courses and have coursework, I understand pronunciation , intonations, character stroke order (chinese) and have a limited vocabulary. It has been two years since I have seriously studied languages. With my full schedule, I need better structure and motivation to take my learning to the next level. Speaking and having live feedback will help me greatly at this point.

Hello.
I am looking to learn German. I am planning a trip to Germany in March. The reason I want to learn is for my own personal preference. I would like to speak so others can understand me and and so I can understand them.
I took a few classes in High School and only remember a limited amount of words so I suppose I would be at a beginner level.

My Thai language level is beginner. Had a few lessons in Bangkok and have done some self-study with audiotapes at home. Would like to have basic conversationa l skills for extended travel in Thailand later this year. I live about 90 minutes from Dallas and could drive there once a week and stay overnight to take two hours of lessons on two consecutive days, such as Saturday and Sunday. I am retired and my schedule is flexible. Could supplement live lessons with on-line learning methods.
