I've watch alot of movies and listen to alot of different language. I pick up some words but someday when I go visit the country I want to fully understand the language.

I am very interested in learning to speak italian because I would like to take a trip to Milan within the next 18 months. I am a beginner but I have taken french classes when I was in high school (during the prehistoric times!) I would like to have proficiency in grammar, conversation and whatever else I can get. I know I may not get all that I want in such a short period of time, but I will really try! I would like to have a lesson twice a week during the late morning. I would prefer that my teacher be patient, yet firm.

I am an avid traveler and I like to learn the basics of the native language in the countries that I visit. I am also interested in language in general, so I want to take my learning beyond the phrasebook level. I am always interested in reading and writing, as well as speaking.
My proficiencies are as follows:
A rabic - no experience
Manadarin - recognize some kanji, but don't know Chinese readings
J apanese - can read and write just a little, speaking is intermediate and listening is a little better than that; I would really like to improve reading and grammar
Fr ench - listening or reading, I can understand most things; my speaking is not as sharp, so I'd like to improve that and vocabulary

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am interested in learning to Esperanto. I am simply curious to learning this fascinating language. I read about it in several books and I imagined that it would be something great to do for myself. I was very moved by the idea behind the creation of this language.
I live in New York city ,i haven't been to school in quite sometime and I am looking to expand my horizon.
Ide ally I would love to go to San Marino to learn for 6 months.
But I am also open to other possibilities .
Also, my first language is Spanish , which I speak ,although not fluently. I grew up in the United States so my education was all in English. The reason why I am sharing this with you, is because I imagine that Esperanto might be similar to Spanish. I might be totally wrong. Anyway.
