I actually live in North Carolina, about 2.5 hours north of Atlanta, so if there are teachers who live on the north side of Atlanta, or closer to the NC border, this would be great.
I studied Russian while living in South Africa, but this was about 10 years ago. I have a good understanding of basic Russian and can read and write the alphabet in both written and typed formats.
I would like to develop proficiency in Russian for work purposes. My work is related to economic development policies of developing countries.
I can dedicate two hours per week, or more, to the studies.
I need a teacher who is patient and can teach someone who is not necessarily a natural language learner. He or she must also be firm in providing homework and practice lessons that can be worked on between lessons.

I am learning Russian for work and will be traveling to Moscow with the possibility of other cities in the country. I am a beginner looking to have lessons once or twice a week as may be suggested by the teacher. The best time of day for the lesson would be after 5:30pm. I am flexible on the day of the week for lessons, except Wednesday. My name is Trecia, and I will be a first-year engineering student at the University of Calgary this fall.
I would like to learn Russian because I would like to work in Russia in the future and the Russian language fascinates me. I would consider myself a beginner, but I'm a fast learner and very motivated. I need help with speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. I would like to have a two hour lesson once a week or every other week, depending on my schedule.
As a ELS volunteer tutor myself, I am looking for a teacher who is intelligent, patient, and charismatic!
I prefer a teacher who is calm and not overly energetic. I want a focused teacher who will use time wisely and knows how to deliver the information I need in the most effective manner. Also, I would prefer to work in a small group rathar than one-on-one because I feel the classes are more entertaining and I can absorb the material better.
