I am a beginner. I decided to learn the language for carreer advancement and i beacuse i want to communicate well with my german friends. I can dedicate as much as 6-8 hours per week since i also have my daytime job. I am native English speaker, but I have taken Spanish and French, although, I would consider my proficiency in those languages as very basic.
I am interested in learning German for personal use, as my fiancee is a native German speaker. She is bilingual, however, her family and friends in Germany are not, and I would like to be able to communicate proficiently with them.
She has been working some with me, but at this time, she is currently overseas finishing her studies, so it is hard for me to learn at such a distance.
I am willing to put in no less than 2 hours a week into one on one learning and more in independednt study.
I am a visual learner, and learn faster by doing/experie ncing over reading. I prefer to work with someone who is laid back and of course, friendly.
