Lessons would be for four members of the same family.
The Grandfather was born in the US of parents born in Italy, so he is very familiar with the language but has never used it regularly.
The Father has been speaking Italian for business purposes for nearly 15 years. While his ability to speak and write Italian is reasonably good, his ability to understand Italian, particularly when spoken quickly is not as good as he requires. In school he had five years of Latin and two years of French.
Th e Mother was exposed to Italian, spoken by her Grandparents (Grandfather' s parents) when young. In school she had two years of Spanish.
T he Daughter (13 years old) studied Italian when she was 5 and 6 years old, at a special school (supported by the Italian Government) located in Boston's North End. Lessons occurred weekly. She currently studies French in Middle School.
Th e family still has relatives in Borgia (Calabria), with whom they want to communicate regularly and visit more frequently. The Father conducts business regularly in Italy. The family qualifies for, and is applying for, Italian citizenship. Therefore, it is important that all develop fluency in the language.

I have formally studied Punjabi for one year and am able to read, write, and speak at the beginner level.
I would like to focus on improving my conversationa l fluency while also improving the speed at which I can read and write.
At this point, I understand most grammar constructs ... I just need drilling and repetition to reinforce.
My main area of weakness is vocabulary.

I have no prior learning experience in turkish, arabic, or russian, have had very very basic mandarin teaching
N eed for languages due to possible careers wanting to work with u.s. consolates in other countries
at the time am a high school senior with possible year off inbetween graduation and college so most likely much time to devote to the languages
if possible a teacher with experience in the country of language, obviously should be fluent in the language they are teaching

I am hoping to learn Arabic as I would like to experience another culture and have also heard it opens many doors in business, international relations, and other fields. I have no previous knowledge and plan to dedicate about 2 hours per week to language lessons.
