I am running my own business in computer networking security technology. I would like to learn Cantonese to be able to better interact with our company's resellers. Starting next year, 2009, we would like to recruit more chinese based companies to become our reseller. As such, I think the Cantonese language skill is extremely important. I have no experience in both the languages I want to learn. I am a French and English teacher myself and enjoy languages.
I want to be able to converse in Cantonese and be able to converse and read in hindi.

My future wife, actually French, however I have had to learn English by immersion for work reason, and I did so in tree months. It might take me longer but I am willing to take the time to learn.
I know at this point absolutely nothing of the language. I am a beginner. I need to learn mostly conversationa l skill for now, however I would like to learn reading and writing to control fully the Chinese language. I can always learn the Mandarin at a later date to complete everything.

I am trying to learn Cantonese, to integrate into my girlfriend's family.
I am an advanced beginner, with several dozen hours of instruction, using Pimsleur level 1 audio course (30 CDs). I would continue with that program, but I found out there they didn't make level 2 and 3!
I'm self employed and would prefer to take instruction during the day on week days, up to an hour a day. Ideally it would be by skype or gtalk so I don't have to leave home.
