I would like to learn Mandarin Chinese, I have never had lessons before so I am at the beginner level.
I would like to learn Mandarin for career advancement and also for personal interest.
I would like to understand the tones of the language, be able to converse and eventually read and write.
I work downtown and so would like to take classes close to that location or even at my place of work during lunch hours.
I am willing to spend 2 hours a week, meeting once a week for the 2 hours would be preferable.
I also live in Barrie and could meet in Barrie for lessons.
I would like a teacher who explains clearly, is patient and kind, makes classes interesting and would push me to learn. It is nice when the teacher uses interactive materials.

i am a beginner, i don't know how to speak,write or read mandarin..i want to learn mandarin because i am interested in the language and one day when i travel in china or taiwan it will be easy for me to communicate with others and it is always good to know another language.i want to spend as much time as possible to the lesson but i have school on weekdays so only after school and sometime on weekends.i want a fun class, don't want it too be boring or complicated.i want to learn conversationa l mandarin also.

I have never studied Chinese beforee,but I am planning to go to China soon, and I would like to be able to navigate, and communicate when I get there. I have many reasons to learn Chinese, but that would be my main one. I am currently seeking a job, hence I do not have a reliable schedule yet, but I am hoping to work early to get off work in the early afternoon. I would like to do a little bit every day. My preference would be to have an involved course with few students, preferably a calm, and positive ambiance, but the important thing for me is to learn.
