I am first generation american, my parents are Norwegian, and I wish to improve my Norwegian. I learned to carry on simple conversations but I would like to improve my grammer and conversation level. I am a beginner, really interested in learning the vietnamese language. I am very interested in learning the language because I am married to a vietnamese man. I studied Japanese for 5 years in college but have not used it since and forgot everything. I plan to take the Japanese proficiency test a year or two from now and go to Japan as an English language teacher or find some other job there. I need a fairly unique approach because of my past experience with Japanese. I am also a professional conference interpreter and learn foreign languages easily, so I will be doing most of the work myself. I am looking for a tutor for one or two times a week for an extended period of time. I would like to concentrate on the modern language: movies, news, magazines, etc. Because my goal is to find a job in Japan, I need to know both the spoken language and Kanji.
