I have studied Arabic previously in Cairo and also lived in several Arabic speaking countries. My goal is to get my MSA to an advanced level according to the ACTFL and ILR scales and be able to take one of these tests to verify it. I already speak colloquial Arabic enough to communicate many needs. My current level in MSA is likely low intermediate. A quick and thorough review of the basics would be good enough to jumpstart my progress. I'm a discerning language learner as I have spent the last 12 years teaching ESL/EFL. I'm looking for a teacher and/or program that uses modern methodologies and techniques and is experienced teaching Arabic to Non NAS (not teaching Arabic to Arabs). Ideally the teacher will be well versed in both syntax $ structure and making classes/learn ing engaging.

I apologize for the short notice. I have an urgent need to brush up my spoken French for a phone interview with French nationals a few days from now.
I would like to work intensively with someone who:
(a) will listen and ask questions while I describe something technical
(b ) will describe something technical (or at least outside my knowledge) so that I can ask questions
(c ) offer corrections in grammar, gender, sounds, prosody.
I studied French for 4 years in high school and a year in college (40 years ago), have spoken French to French people on occasion in between, conducted technical sales calls in France in French (20 years ago), have read and enjoyed all the Livres d'Asterix.
Would you be willing and would you have the time to work with me for a total of about 12-16 hours (4-8 hour blocks) in the next few days (including Sat and/or Sun, preferably finishing Monday 21 Sep)?
I work for a consulting firm in Bellevue, who will pay for this tutoring. I live in Bothell, so your location (or my location, or my work location) is very convenient.
