I am a beginning Hindi language student who has taken one beginner's Hindi course in Sydney, Australia.
I enjoy learning languages and speak French and German along with English (my mother tongue.)
I wish to learn Hindi to enhance my enjoyment of Indian culture and to be able to communicate with everyday Indians. I continue to improve my Hindi literacy on my own in my spare time. I wish for my lessons to focus on:
1) grammar
2) pronunciation
3) conversation
I would hope to spend from 60 to 90 mins a day, in the evenings, practicing Hindi with a teacher or a class.
I am looking for a teacher who can explain the fundamentals of Hindi language to me and who is patient. I hope to get along well with whomever my teacher is.

I'm a beginner in hindi. I know the skript (I'm learning sanskrit also) and I've started to learn hindi from Rupert Snell's book 'Beginners hindi'.
My aim in learning hindi is to communicate with people, I'd like to read literature and better understand the culture.
I'd like to make an effort in speaking as well as in grammar, reading and writing.
I'd like to attend the lessons every day from Monday to Friday. I'm interested in intensive course.
I'm looking for professional teacher who can teach language in a practical, easy and interesting way using various media.

I'm in Pune for 3 months (till the end of february 2008) for visiting my wife who is working here. I'd like to learn some of the Hindi language (of which I actually know nothing, so I am at the first step of the beginner level) to be able to communicate on very basic level and to be able to read some signs.
I've learned different languages : dutch, english, french and italian and also learned some german and chinese. The scope is thus not to speak the language fluently, but to enrich my cultural experience here. It would also be very interesting if he teacher can include in the language courses some local aspects that makes me know the local culture and habits better.
In theory I'm free during the day, although sometimes I wil be away for some days. I think a good frequency would be a few times a week.
