I'm taking up BA English Studies at UP but after assessing my own abilities, I felt that I still lack mastery over most of the lessons regarding my major. I felt I still needed a tutor's help when it comes to studying on my own. I'm having a hard time learning higher level English especially the basic principles of Phonology. I am looking for a teacher who is patient enough to deal with slow-learners and who really aims to help their students to learn and understand the lesson well.

I would like to learn Cantonese because I would like to live in Hong Kong. I recently went to Hong Kong as a tourist and I was really amazed at how beautiful its culture and how disciplined the people were. In order to migrate there, I need to find a job first and I also need to learn Cantonese. During my last visit, I realized that a lot of Hong Kong people are still challenged with the English language and that most of these people are also aloof with people who cannot speak Cantonese. Also, I have searched for jobs online and all of the jobs that I came upon requires proficiency in Cantonese. I would like to embrace the culture and I would like to make Cantonese my second language just as English is. I am willing to spend a lot of time learning it until I get a job there. Since I currently have a 8am-5pm Monday to Friday job, I would prefer to have weekend schedules. Regarding the qualities of the teacher, I would like my teacher to be enthusiastic and encouraging.

I would want to learn Dutch since I plan to move to Holland in the future. I currently have a Dutch boyfriend who lives in Vught. We have been together since April 2012 up to present. I need to be in a beginner's class as I have no clue yet how to read or write Dutch. I can dedicate my weekends for learning and if weekdays, I can only do so after work hours. 5pm onwards. I want a teacher who is patient and flexible to working students like me, but at the same time very competent to teach the language.
