I would like to be fluent in Korean one day for a few reasons. My girlfriend (i.e. future wife) is Korean and I see it as only fair to learn her language since she already learned mine. Also, when we have children, we'd like to raise them to be bilingual and I feel like I should definitely improve my speaking ability so I can one day foster such an environment for my kids. Also, I love the country of South Korea. I would not mind living/workin g there one day.
I studied Korean intensively for one semester at Yonsei Unviersity in Seoul but I would definitely say I am still a beginner. At Yonsei, I certainly learned to read/write but the classroom did not emphasize speaking practice AT ALL so my speaking skills are very poor. Conversation is what I would really like to improve.
I am busy with school and an internship but I think my schedule could still allow some time for language study at this time. Meeting once a week with a teacher would be preferable for me.

i had taken korean class for beginners for a month, and I felt that I was really into this language.
Basically , I want to improve my korean in all aspects, in order to have a free conversation with native speakers.

I'm setting up this profile for my 15 year old son, Ian. Ian is home-schooled and is interested in Japanese culture (through mostly popular culture) and wants to study the language and possibly study abroad. He is a beginner but frequently looks at lessons on YouTube and other social media. I think we could do one to two nights a week with lessons during the rest of the week.
I'm looking for someone who is flexible and who can work well with a teenager. Ian is very introspective , calm young man who, at times, can be easily distracted, but overall dedicated. Thanks.
