I am wanting to learn Portuguese because I am wanting to be an exchange student to Brazil. I had an exchange student stay with me who was from Brazil, and the both of us went back to her home together, and for the month I stayed in Brazil, changed my life forever.
I know only a few words in Portuguese, but I am also attempting to teach myself via podcast and online sites. I am willing to try my best and learn quickly and efficiently; I have already learned 2 years of Japanese and I have retained most of it even though it has been about a year since my last class.
As for improvement-- everything, just teach me everything.
I can dedicate all my after-school time to up to 9 PM at night, and many of my weekend hours. Mind you, I don`t want to use all of those hours commuting back and forth to a city somewhere.
B asically, I just want a teacher.. I want he or she to have a good sense of humor, and to be able to teach me some history and other random things that I should know about Brazil. I want them to grade me hard, because the harder I am graded, the harder I work.

I recently took the beginning course in turkish at Tomer, Antalya and want to continue. I spend a lot of time in Turkey and want to be able to communicate in the native language. I am not sure how much time I have for lessons but do want to progress.

Good Day,,,I am of Latvian descent, and grew up in a Latvian household. We spoke Latvian at home and it was my first language, but as I integrated into society, English became my primary language. Now, my family is gone, and I have lost most of the language. I would like to re-learn it, by starting at the beginning. Though I do have a full-time job, and am already taking classes in college, in American Sign Language, and Accounting, I have the determination to devote several hours each week to getting the language back. I am looking for a teacher with a good grasp of both Latvian and English, who understands the pressures of work, and going back to school in mid-life.
