I am looking for Russian lessons for my 4 year old who has a rudimentary knowledge of the language. My husband is a native speaker, as is his family, and I would like my children to have conversationa l understanding (still learning to read in English). I am looking for a tutor who knows (and likes) working with preschool age children and knows how to teach to that developmental stage. Thank you.

Dear Future Teacher in Houston,
I work for Lufthansa airlines in Germany, and am being sent to work in Moscow for six months beginning at the end of January. As such, I would like to learn as many of the basics of the Russian language as possible before I go. I will be in Houston visiting my parents in Houston from December 21 until around January 10. I would very much like the opportunity to learn beginner Russian from one of you in an 'intensive' style format. To date, I have no experience with the Russian language.
I am a native English speaker, but now speak fluent German after living in Germany for two years. I understand that Russian is quite different but believe I can make good progress given an experienced teacher.
I look forward to hearing from one or several of you regarding an 'intensive' course in late December and/or early January. The exact duration can be determined later, preferably with your input.
In the meantime, please contact me via email. Please forgive in advance should I take more than one day to respond, as I am currently on vacation and have only sporadic access to email. In your email, please include your phone number so that I can call you once I get back to Germany on December 4.
