I have studied Spanish for about a year now and consider myself to be a beginner. I am learning Spanish because I love learning and I am interested in Spain and Latin America. My reading skills far exceed my conversationa l skills. I am making steady progress with the acquisition of vocabulary and grammar, but I still have a long way to go. I study each day for about an hour and I can devote several hours a week to lessons. I prefer a teacher who is well prepared and who provides lots of structure.

Patie nce with an American that wants to learn! I tell my wife that I do not speak English, but I do speak American English, and anyone that has ever tried to understand the British, knows what I mean!!! American English is like no other in the world, but it is taken from most of the world!
