I am learning Arabic because i am a Palestinian American looking to explore my culture at a deeper level and to read and write my native lands language. I am only 14 and plan to own a business with my brothers and every language is a plus! I hope to do maybe 3-5 hours durin a week for a few months and I NEED improvement on my grammar, and conversation as well. I want my teacher to be able to teach me the culture my religion (islam) and to read and write as well as speak.

I'm interested in learning German because I want to visit the country in a couple years' time, and perhaps work there. I am in the solar energy (photovoltaic s) field and there are very many good opportunities for solar energy companies and research there. Also I am curious about German culture because I have a number of friends from Germany.
I have a beginning level of German, from a summer course I took at the Goethe Institute in Toronto. I am looking for weekly lessons to improve my German, especially conversationa l German.

From the moment I heard the Dutch language for the first time, I have been in love with it. I have been teaching myself, with some assistance from Dutch friends here and there, for approximately the last year and a half. I read things in Dutch on the internet, I watch Dutch television, listen to Dutch radio. I attempt to submerse myself in the language as much as I can while living in the US. I would love to someday live in the Netherlands, and therefore, I think it is key that I speak the language. Then again, if it weren't for the language, I would have never had such a strong desire to learn more about the country, and I would have never found out how much I love it! I would love to be able to take the NT2 exam and officially be fluent in speaking Dutch.
