I am a beginner, I know very little conversationa l Japanese. I know a little bit of general etiquette as well as pronunciation . I would currently consider myself to be a beginner in the arabic language. I have some basic understandign of the language and the ability to speak and understand some basic words and phrases. I wish to learn the language because my father's side of the family is from the midle east and being able to converse with them in their language would be very meaningful. I would be willing to dedicate up to a couple of hours a week to these lessons as I would hope to be proficient enough to converse with my family in a year or so. I don't have to be fluent by that point, of course, but being able to hold a reasonable conversation would be nice.
