I would like to learn Romanian starting at the beginner level. I don't know much at all thoughI have started by looking on the Web.
My reasons are personal; I met a Romanian with whom I wish to maintain a relationship.
I work full time so my study would be in the evenings at home with lessons every week. Though I am more interested in conversationa l Romanian I want to understand the why as well so I am willing to spend time on the grammar. In fact I downloaded a grammar book in English and have read through it, and have purchased an computer program.
I would like a teacher who is demanding, ready to answer questions, and can provide an environment that is Romanian.

Being Turkish by birth I would like to improve upon my very rusty Turkish so I can communicate better when I go back to Turkey to visit. I understand much more than I can speak and have had no formal training in Turkish whatsoever. I am a student working towards a dual degree in French and International Relations. I am working to improve my proficency of the French language. I have completed my first year university level french.
I am living in Montreal for two months. After this time, I will be taking a semester in Laval, Quebec. All my courses will be in french, therefore, I am using this two months before the program to prepare myself for continued studies in French.
I can dedicate 15- 20 hours a week.
I am looking for a teacher that is dedicated to their job. Someone that is genuinely cares about the learning of the student. Reliablity and consistancy is a must!!
