I wish twice weekly lessons to learn conversationa l Tagalog over the phone, for two sessions per week of one hour duration.
I wish the lesson to be held over the phone. the tutor need not worry about phone charges-I will call the tutor at the start of the lessons.
I would like standardized study materials- either I would purchase a textbook which the tutor owns, or the tutor will email me study material, or point me to a website which contains the material.
I am best available at my lunch period (NY 11:00 to 2:00) during the weekday.
I am looking to learn casual conversation, and to have fun learning.
I am happy to adjust my schedule to meet the needs of the tutor, if I can.

Although I already have an English degree and a fine job that I could probably retire in (if I so chose) I've always been extremely interested in the Japanese language and culture. It is my future dream to be able to take a long vacation in Japan one day, perhaps even get a job teaching English there one day. I admit although I've taken two years of Japanese in high school my proficiency is still quite low. I'm not too terrible at figuring out their syllable system and I remember that the many writing systems (save Kanji which is more decorative anyway) were easy for me to memorize. I'm a true beginner in the rest of the language. I'm very enthusiastic though and often a quick learner. The kind of teacher I'd like to have is someone who's patient enough to work with me and able to answer my questions thoroughly. Also, it would be a big plus to have a teacher that knows a few things about Japanese culture. I look forward to learning with you!

My fiance is Persian and it is important to both of us for our future children to be able to speak Farsi. I am a beginner. I can speak a little and understand a little more.
