I am interested in learning Korean, but I am a complete beginner. I enjoy Korean films and television dramas, and would like to learn Korean for my own personal enrichment and for conversation. Even though there is a large Korean community in this area, surprisingly I cannot find any local colleges or universities which teach Korean. I am hoping that self-study with the help of a tutor might be a good way to proceed. I have studied a little German in college, and have taken some linguistics courses in syntax and phonology, but nothing related to Korean.

My daughter has been learning Korean for the past three years in a duel program in Los Angeles. Now we had to move to the San Diego area( La Mesa). She was top of her class and I would hate for her to loose all those years.She is 9 years old and I would like for her to have one hour classes three to five times a week.
