I have had absolutley NO introduction to the Bengali language. I am seeking to learn this language for possible humanitarian work done in the country of India, where a large portion of the population speak Indian. I am currently a student in the 11th grade, so I could dedicate roughly 2-3 hours a week... I am looking for a teacher that is proficient in usage of the language, but also has English skills so they can effectively communicate to me. A teacher who is patient and willing to work with me until I get a firm grasp upon the Bengali language.

Personally, there is only one reason why i feel i need to learn Japanese, it is due to the fact that my mother lives in Japan. I do not know exactly where but do know that sadly, somewhere in the main city of Tokyo. In other terms, because i never actually meant her nor know who she is i thats why i feel its something i need to do in order to proceed with looking for her.
