I would be considered a beginner, and I am learning it because I plan to stay in Poland for awhile visiting a friend and it would be helpful for me to learn/underst and the language, and would dedicate all of my free time to my language lessons. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher, is that either he or she is very clear with what they are saying, that they are confident with what they are teaching me, they know the basics, they know the advanced and that they are comfortable with people.

I am of intermediate level, in that i can meet and greet people in polish, say thank you, please, and form a few phrases.
I would like to improve my polish to conversationa l level, so i can hold reasonably fluent conversations with people.
Im a new zealander, but live in Dublin, and my reason for wanting to learn is that i have a lot of polish friends and would like to converse with them in their own language. Also i would like to do some more travel in Poland.
I would prefer a female teacher, and would like to have a lesson about once a week, maybe twice.

I am eager to learn Polish in order to converse with friends and family. I would be beginning from scratch, because I have no previous experience with the language. Conversation would be my main focus along with grammar. I would like to take in- person lessons once a week for an hour- hour and a half in conjunction with additional time spent on practice and take home work. I would be looking for a teacher who would gear the lessons toward conversation with present day slangs and patient since i am a begginer.

My husband is Polish, so we have many friends who are also Polish and move into conversations in Polish. I feel offended by this and would rather learn to speak it than feel left out.
I know alot of words and some sentences, but I could not hold a conversation.
I would 'forever' be practicing what I learn with my husband and step son.
I desire not to have perfect grammar, as I understand the language is quite difficult in that respect. Rather I just want to hold a conversation and everybody understand me and I them. I would like my teacher to be persistant, yet patient.
