I am essentially a beginner to intermediate, having studied italian on my own for the past 4 years. I live in Northwest Louisiana and after much searching have been unable to locate italian classes or private teachers in this area. I realize without specialized guidance my progress will remain limited. My main interest is in reading and translating, but I would also like to improve my writing skills. I work full time so evening or weekend tutoring is desired. I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance for lessons.

i am a beginner at the japanese language, i have only taken 1-month course of a full semester class in the university. i am learning this language because by the end of this year i will be traveling to Japan for an intensive 3-month course and need to know the basics. i feel i need to work on conversation the most because it is most vital when i travel to Japan but i need work on all areas.
i want to spend extensive amounts of time due to the fact that i will be leaving relatively soon.
the quality most valued by me is communication so that i can understand the logic, structure and reasons of certain aspects of the japanese language.
