I am a beginning Arabic student. I have taken 3 semesters of Egptian Arabic and 1 semester of Standard. I am interested in studying Arabic at the graduate level, so I really need to improve, or at the least maintain my Arabic skills. I would like to be able to dedicate two hours a week to my studies, however I do not know my schedule for certain yet. I would prefer a female teacher, however if I was in a small group I would not mind a male teacher. Thanks!

I have just begun learning Arabic on my own but am still in the beggining stages. I would like a more detailed knowledge and understanding of the language than I would get learning it on my own. I am interested in learning to speak Arabic because I would like to incorporate it into my future career plans. I plan on going into Translation and Interpretatio n. The two languages that I would like to focus on are Arabic and Italian. Coming from an Italian family, I already have a knowledge of Italian. I would like to dedicate 2-4 hours a week to a language lesson. I am looking for a teacher that will teach me all of the aspects of the language and culture.

Dear Future Teacher,
I am an American woman who will be living in Lausanne from June to December of 2006. I am married to an Egyptian man and would like to devote some time to learning Arabic so that I can converse with his family better. I am a total beginner, knowing next to nothing about Arabic. I'm a beginning student of Arabic. I'm particularly interested in learning the Egyptian dialect, which I understand to be a bit easier to learn. I'm a little familiar with the Arabic alphabet.
