I am planning to spend a (cultural) holiday week in New York (19. - 25. July. This would also be an ideal occasion to improve or at least practice my English skills, mainly conversation. I wish to do so with a skilled teacher for about 2h a day (in total: 10 - 20 lessons. I think the most efficient way would be face to face sessions. This is a try to have a look if somebody would be interested in this sort of teaching.
I am Swiss, male, 50 years oldand University graduate(PhD) . My English skills are good - advanced.

I'd like to begin learning Arabic seriously. I'm interested in the language and the region, and feel that it would be an asset to my professional profile. I'd like to start at the basics and continue with 1 teacher well beyond fluency. I speak Spanish fluently and feel that I do have an above average ability to learn foreign languages.
I'd like to meet with a native speaker with prior teaching experience twice a week. This teacher should have a concrete lesson plan, give homework assignments, and incorporate a variety of tools into our sessions.
