Vacationing in Poland and Germany a few months from now I would like to learn conversationa l Polish to help with essential travel arrangements. i.e. Train, Hotel, Pension, Car rental, Reservations and Dining, etc.
I can get by in Germany but will struggle in Poland. This trip will include Slupsk-Lebork for genealogy research and south to Krakow before moving on to Germany.
A western suburban conversationa l Polish course would be best.

I am essentially a beginner, looking to learn Russian, so that I may travel next year to the town where my grandparents are from (in Belarus). I say 'essentially' because I took one semester of a UCLA Extension Russian class in 1990, before visiting that country.
Although I have a good flair for language (I speak French, Spanish, Italian; have also studied Hebrew and German), I cannot recall any of the Russian I learned.
I would like to work one-on-one, probably for 1 or 2 hours per week. My schedule is busy (aren't we all?!) and varies from week to week, but with advance notice can absolutely commit to my course of study.
I am looking for a teacher who is kind, affable, and a terrific teacher!

I am in the process of moving to Philippines from the us. I have started Spanish lessons and have started an stopped some. I have a very basic start. I would like to continue lessons. I like private lessons perhaps 2 or 3 hours a day. I am looking for a qualified teacher that knows the language and some culture of Latin America. I would also expect books or other work tools. I will be there in about three weeks and plan to stay there for a indefinite period so I want a teacher that is capable of long term and in dept lessons.
