I am just completing a beginner's intensive holiday course in the French language.
I am not registering for Term 1 as I am going to be away for the last three weeks of that term.
I am looking for an alternative French language program for the first seven weeks of Term 1 and continuing on from the beginning of Term 2 until I depart for a six weeks holiday to the south for France in mid September.
I am recently retired and following my holiday I would be keen to continue to study the French language and culture as a retirement interest.

Greetings,
Although English is my first language, I grew up with French my whole life, living in Quebec and attending school in French until the age of 15. Now that my work demands a very high level of French, more so than I've ever been used to, I would like to improve my ability, not only for my career, but also for my personal satisfaction. Here is are a few examples of errors I have recently made in writing, corrected by a native French speaker:
' comme mentionné' should be 'tel que mentionné'
'l'annonce' should be 'le communiqué'
'engagement continue' should be 'engagement soutenu'
' tel comme apparu' should be 'tel que publié'
I would like to be able to choose words more wisely, use better expressions, increase my vocabulary, perfect my grammar, etc. Hopefully a good teacher will be able to spot my weaknesses and fix them before I ever notice them!
