I would like to learn the Italian language primarily to be able to converse when in Italy. I have no previous experience with the language. I do not want a totally 'Italian for Travellers' type scenario; however, I am assuming that is how one begins the learning process. Hello, I am a beginning French student who has never taken a course. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese already, so I need a French course that move along quickly. I am a PhD student who needs to learn French to conduct my dissertation research. I hope to arrive to Tunis in the begining of June and spend 6 weeks or so there immersed in French 24/7. Can you tutor me when I get to Tunis or can you recommend a language institute there? Thank you.

Beginner: I know hiragana and katakana.
Why I am learning:
I would like to be able to communicate with friends from Japan in their native tongue. There are also works of literature, movies, anime, and manga I wish to read untranslated.
Areas for improvement:
Everything.
Time:
Depen ds on the season. I think that at least an hour a day is doable.
Qu alities in teacher:
I'd prefer someone who is a native speaker. I want to learn properly the first time without having to backtrack in the future.

I am a beginner, though I have years of experience learning Arabic, so the alphabet and a lot of vocabulary are familiar. Also nothing could be harder than Arabic!
I would like to learn Farsi because I lived in the Middle East for a long time and I love Iran so much. I want to be able to read the literature and someday visit Iran again.
For the summer, I'd like to practice at least an hour a day. I am good at learning on my own, but I need a teacher who can guide my pronunciation , engage me in basic conversation in Farsi, and correct my grammar mistakes.
