I have studied Spanish and am interested in learning French. I want to learn French for my own interests i.e., travelling, general communication . I am a beginner in French and would need to start from scratch... especially with pronunciation ! I'm looking for classes geared for practical conversation and learning the basics to build on in the future. Ideally, the teacher would be a patient, native speaker skilled in teaching pronunciation and breaking down the language into the basics and also work in person. My time available to dedicate to learning would be approximately 4-6 hrs/wk.

I have no knowledge of French whatsoever. I am a graduate student in a religious studes program that requires reading knowledge of French as a prerequisite to a Ph.D program.
