My name is Yuki Yamashita from Japan.
I have been working in Malaysia for 6 months as a travel agent.
my main language is Japanese and English at work but
I am deeply interested in learning the native language in this country.
I made a lot of local friends but I sometimes have hardship
com municating with them and I always wish to talk to Malay language.
I would like to learn Malay based on every day use. For example, at a shopping mall, mamak, supermarket.
I like languages since I used to live in the U.S(Chicago and New Jersey) and Australia(Syd ney) and since I have been spending a lot of time in Malaysia I thought I should be able to talk Malay language with confidence.
I would like to be able to speak Malay to the level where I can
express my feelings and make a joke focusing on communication .

I'm interested in lessons in Bahasa Malaysia, conversation initially. I've been living in Malaysia for about nine months and we are now staying an additional 2+ years so I may wish to learn the language in more depth over time. My proficiency is beginning, though I have learned a few words on my own; I definitely lack conversationa l skills, however, and all too soon revert back to gestures, 'can-can', 'no-can' and so on.
Initia lly, I believe that face-to-face would be best, two to three hours per week. I'm happy to work on exercises on my own and, once I know the teacher and we progress, I don't mind if some of the lessons are on Skype, etc.
It's possible that a friend/neighb our may be interested as well. I live in Glenmarie Court, nearer to Subang Jaya (not far from Empire Shopping Gallery and the Subang Jaya KTM station) than Shah Alam.
