Description |
I hope to one day go to Germany for an extended period of time and feel that learning the language, obviously, would help greatly.
I am an absolute beginner, other than some simple words here and there, assume I know nothing.
I am preferably looking for a group setting with a few other students to share the experience with and essentially not feel so alone in the process, but willing to accept private lessons.
I need someone who’s going to drive me to success. Ideally a teacher who’s not going to except no for an answer and who’ll push me.

Description |
I am learning foreign languages mostly because of personal interest, and in the case of Galician, cultural identity. My level of proficiency is varyingly intermediate in the three languages that I am currently learning. I can communicate actively in French, although I have some difficulties understanding spoken French. The same goes for Portuguese, although the similarities between my native Spanish and Portuguese aid me. Galician is the one I have studied the least, however, it is the most similar to Spanish in terms of pronunciation and grammar. In French, my greatest failing is my auditory comprehension of the language, i.e, I have difficulties following colloquial conversation. The same goes for Portuguese. With Galician, I have no issues whatsoever understanding the spoken or written language, I would just like to polish off my speaking. I would be willing to dedicate multiple hours a week to my language-lear ning, perhaps as much as six hours a week. As far as qualities for my teacher goes, I merely would hope that he/she would be open-minded, patient, and interesting/e d.
I have recently changed my learning preferences to Quechua, Catalan, and German, however, this does not mean that I am no longer interested in French, Galician, and Portuguese.

Description |
I would like to learn German as my boyfriend is a native German and I would like to be able to communicate with his family. There also is a possibility for me to move to Germany in the next few years, in which case I would need to know the language in order to find employment. I have taken one year of beginner's German at the local community college. I feel that I have some skills, but do not feel comfortable conversing in German. I also feel that I did not learn very much vocabulary. I would like to improve upon my understanding of the different tenses of German. I would also like to work on conversation and vocabulary. I would like to have a day a week that I could work with an instructor at least. I had class twice a week and that worked out well, but was hectic with my schedule as I work full time and have other commitments.
I am looking for a teacher that is very knowledgeable and approachable. I would like to be able to feel comfortable with the individual I am working with and confident that they know what they are doing. I would prefer a native speaker, but it is not necessary.

Description |
I've wanted to learn Swedish for a while now, and have now found a school in Sweden I want to attend it 2012. Learning Sweden is required for admission, so I want to learn. I also took 2 years of German in high school and love the language and culture. I would love to be fluent.
Sw edish: Beginner Ger man: Elementary
Swedish: I need to start from the ground. Germ an: I'm awful with the grammar. I understand it, I just need practice. I'm pretty good at spelling and translating, but my speech is weak.
I'd personally love to take 2-4 hrs a week of Swedish.
I would like to work with someone that is fluent, and in person. I learn quickly, but I'm not good at teaching myself. So I need guidance.
