I would like to learn Russian because I am hoping to start my Masters in History (emphasis in Russian history), which will require for me to read documents in Russian, and possibly write in Russian. Therefore, I need to be capabale of reading and writing, and overall understand the Russian language. I am beginner and do not have knowledge of the language. I am willing to dedicate as much time needed. I am looking for an equally dedicated teacher, who has experience in teaching/tuto ring and can help me specifically in writting/read ing, not only conversationa l skills.

I want to learn Russian for self-betterme nt, business and interest in the country's history and literature.
My level is probably intermediate.
I study on my own 6 hrs a week and need improvement in speaking and grammar. I would like to meet once a week for 2-3 hours.
I will only learn from a native speaker and prefer someone who has lived in Russia recently or keeps in close contact with the country by visits or TV or reading newspapers.
I only want to learn from a Russain, ie, not someone from Ukraine or one of the former Republics. Sorry but this is very important.

I am now studying Russian issues in the United States and from next summer I will be sent to Moscow by my company and there I will work as translator of Russian, so I would like to improve my Russian (and English) skill.
Befor e coming to the U.S last summer, I have been in Moscow for 2 years and there I have gotten the third level of certification of Russian language (C1).
Especi ally, I would like to improve my speaking and listening skills with native speakers.
I want to spend about 5 hours in a week for my lessons.
