i am considering starting to resume conversationa l french classes this fall. i have taken elementary/in termediate level conversationa l classes at different points over the last 20 years. i am currently enrolled at university in the last year of a master's level counselling program in ottawa, and would like to revive my 'flagging' linguistics abilities in french. I visit a university aged daughter in montreal and am horrified by my lack of confidence to try and converse to montrealers. Due to family and school committments, i am unable to devote much study time during the school year, but i feel that having regularly scheduled conversationa l lessons, covering current events, grammar stumbling blocks, etc. in a small group setting would help me kick start my courage to try and speak the language.

I am wanting to learn Levantine Arabic. I have acquired 2 books already and frequently visit websites like shoofimafi.co m. I have learned some key words and phrases but I would like to be able to speak fluently with me Lebanese friends. I work full time but I am willing to dedicate 4 nights/week for 2-3 hours each. I am looking for a teacher who is patient and has proficient knowledge of Levantine Arabic. I am willing to pay for the service.

Well, the only thing i can say in Russian is 'the juice is black' and even then probably poorly, so beginners. i want to learn to speak Russian because i want to be a Russian Art Historian and i'm in my last year of my undergraduate and still know nothing. it is important to me to be able to, even at a basic level, communicate and read the language of the art i want to study, thus grasping the true essence of what the artist or reviewer is saying. I'm really just looking for a basic grasp of the language so when i spend time in Russian i can pick up more. i'm looking for perhaps 2 to 3 hours a week maybe less, for a year. i'm looking for someone who is patient and has a passion for the language and won't be insulted when i pronounce things badly.

To whom it may concern,
I am extremely interested in learning Irish Gaelic (Gaeilge), and I am presently a beginner and have some knowledge of verbs and grammatical concepts. I need instruction on sentence structure and pronunciation , also further grammar and verb knowledge will be needed. I am learning this language because I intend to do a degree later in Irish Gaelic and teach it, also it is of importance to me to learn because my family is Irish and I wish to promote my heritage and offer that to others and allow them to learn, promote and even perhaps save a language that is too beautiful and influential to let die out. I am willing to dedicate possibly 5-10 hours a week. I am obviously looking for someone with a great amount of knowledge of the Gaelic language, and someone that is willing to teach and understand that a student is someone that wants to learn and therefore also deserves respect.
