I am a beginner in Russian. My best friend is a exchange student from Russia. I have a vKontakte and talk to other Russians through myspace and ICQ. I am currently reading through Russian for Dummies but it is all transliterate d and I would like to learn Russian in Cyrillic, not necessarily through the English alphabet. I can transliterate anything and I understand a few conversation starters and a few words other than that. I have a problem thinking in Russian. I need someone that lives near Dallas, TX. I live in Flower Mound which is about 30 minutes away north, closer to Denton. I need someone who is consistent and a good patient teacher. My friend is leaving at the end of June and I would like to communicate with him and his family. Starting next summer I am going to meet him in Russia. So on this note, I need to start right away so I can learn pretty fluent Russian within the next 10 or so months. Please help me, I perfer this to be relatively cheap since I would like to learn as much as I can. Thank you.

I am interested in private telephone tutoring that will follow a structured and enjoyable format. I need to learn Portuguese for an opportunity at work, and would like to get started right away.
My expectation would be to have 1-2 1 hour sessions per week for about 4 weeks and to revisit the schedule and make adjustments then based on progress.
