For me learning that new language is another way to truly learn the culture,histo ry and lifestyles of the people. Finding time has been my set back to getting started. I lived in Taiwan for 22 months, almost 30 years ago. I could speak Mandarin at a high-intermed iate level. I did not focus on reading very many characters.
I plan to return to Taiwan in September of 2010. I wish to recover and advance my spoken Mandarin as quickly as possible. --Very interested in using on-line voice technologies with a teacher.
