My name is Sandy. I'm looking for some in person/group or live chat Chinese lessons. I've tried listening CDs and Chinese Pod, but they both have the same drawback: no feedback on pronunciation and no one to practice conversing with.
I'm still at a beginner level and find it frustrating. When I watch youtube.com with native speakers, I'm able to catch only a few words in an entire video. I think feedback and actual conversation practice would help greatly (and is how I learned my first foreign language - French).
I want to learn Chinese mostly because a member of my church is a missionary in Tianjin. She teaches English to Chinese youth. I hope to someday be able to go on a mission trip there to help her out. I am also interested in learning to write Chinese characters as I learn to speak.
I am looking for a teacher in the Gwinnett area, Lawrenceville /Grayson/Snell ville area would be ideal.

I am looking for a Mandarin tutor in the Golden, Co area. I will travel a far as Auraria campus and maybe the DU area if the tutor is well qualified. Looking for conversationa l only with a deep dive in popular topics such as business, household, and food. Background is two years studying reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Taiwan, but my conversationa l skills are very weak. Lessons would begin at intermediate level, with the goal to be able to handle casual conversations in Mandarin and to be able to live daily life in Mandarin speaking country within 12 months.
