I am in a fairly unique situation. I am 1 class short of comopleting my bachelors degree from the University of Kentucky, which requires 4 semester courses. I had, back in 2001, completed 3/4 courses & was forced to withdraw from school...shor t an intermediate French class from graduation. I have now enrolled in an Independent Study version of the class necessary, however my French comprehension (which was lacking even while actively studying in college) has even gotten worse. I'm seeking assistance with a 30 assignment course....loo king for some serious, and patient-minde d help!

To Whom it May Concern:
I am pursuing a doctorate degree in music and need to pass a language translation proficiency exam. For this exam I will need to translate a scholarly music article from French to English within an hour. I WILL be able to use a dictionary, however, I have NO French experience. I took two years of Spanish in highschool, but I'll be starting from scratch with French. My intention is to meet at least once a week, maybe twice, with the goal of taking my exam in November. I am looking for a French tutor who can help me with translation skills as soon as possible.

I took some lessions when I was a kid and again in college but I've pretty much forgotten everything since I haven't been using it. I'm trying to get some French conversationa l lessions for travel. Small classes of up to ten students is fine with me. And I'm most interested in something in the evenings or weekends that I can fit into my work schedule. I'm looking for about a four hour a week time commitment.
