I am interested in learning Romanian. I am a beginner. I am going to Romania this fall and want to be able to converse with the people I meet. For now, I just need basic conversation skills. I can meet once or twice a week for language lessons and then can give time outside of class for study on my own.

I practice Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and have competed all over the world, so I hear Portuguese a lot, and recognize a few words, but that is as far as it goes as far as my proficiency. I want to learn, to be able to get around in Brazil as I will be there to train and compete fairly frequently in the next couple of years, and in training it is essential as my instructors there speak little to no English. I can devote at least 3-4 hours of class time is not more per week. I need to get a teacher who can get me to a proficient level of comprehension and speaking in a short time.
