I have had two years of college level Mandarin at Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University. I spent four weeks at Beijing Normal University in intensive training in 2005. I have visited China (mostly Yunnan province) four times in the past five years.
How ever, I became seriously ill after returning from China and have not been able to practice Chinese for more than a year. I am now healthy again and eager to resume studying Chinese. I seem to have forgotten a great deal!
My main interest is in one-one tutoring in conversationa l Mandarin. I will also resume classes in Chinese at GMU. I am retired so my schedule is very flexible. I could meet 1-3 times a week.

Beginner proficiency. I would like to learn conversationa l business-leve l Mandarin as quickly as possible for a job opportunity (written not as important). I am willing to take classes five days per week, and am looking for an instructor that has a good business professional command of Mandarin, as well as knowledge of Chinese politics.
I do not know of anyone else who would like to take these classes with me, but am open to studying with others in small group, as soon as possible.
