I am currently engaged to a Pole and desperately want to become fluent ( or more than now ) in Polish so that our children can be brought up with Polish as they're first tongue. Any help I can get is definitely appreciated. I have downloaded some polish language help from the internet, and have a few books at home, but I guess I need more interaction with it. Correspondanc e via a pen pal would be great, then I can practice the understanding as well as writing.

Hello,
My name is Julia Trzewik. I am interested in improving my knowledge of the Polish language. I can in fact speak Polish more or less. In other words I can hold a conversation. But I would like to improve on my grammar, learn how to read quicker, and learn how to overall write in the Polish language. My family all speaks Polish, it's just that I've grown up speaking only English to them and for some reason find it difficult to switch over. I guess because I know that a lot of my pronunciation is wrong. Either way I would like to find a teacher to help me learn the language better. I would like a teacher who in fact is fluent in the language, specifically someone who grew up in Poland. If you think you can help me please let me know. Thank you!

I am very keen to learn Polish as quickly as possible. At least to have a good understanding of particularly the spoken word but also the written, especially grammar.
The main initial reason for learning is that I have a Polish boyfriend and therefore we mix very much with other Polish friends.We intend to visit Poland this year and therefore I wish to have as much understanding as possible.
I have begun to learn from home and I do now have a better understanding , but this learning is slow and limited.
I speak French and have studied Spanish and German in the past.
I'm not sure what qualities I'm looking for in a teacher, someone who is flexible and dedicated, especially anyone who lives close to me in South Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshi re. Failing that Middlesex or London areas.
