Despite being married to a Filipina, I am unable to learn from her, hence I am a beginner with knowledge of a handfull of words. I wish to learn as it is our intention to retire to the Philippines at some stage and I am embarrased having to rely on everyone elses english. Greetings,
I am trying to help my son locate a private modern standard arabic teacher for this summer. He will be student MSA at the Bourguiba Institute from 9 am to 12 pm, Monday through Fridays.
H e would like to get two hours extra instruction in the afternoons so that he can learn the language well. He is fluent in French after having studied there when he was 15 yrs old.
He has taken one year of classical arabic studies at his college here in the US, and is eager to learn how to converse in Arabic.
My parents and I have lived many years in Jordan and Egypt, but unfortunately I did not learn any Arabic to pass on to my son. And our Arab friends who visit us have only been able to teach him a little bit of the language at a time.
My son is 18 years old, very well-mannered and easy-going. He is eager to join the Peace Corps when he graduates from college.
P lease contact me if you can provide modern standard Arabic instruction in Tunis in July and August 2005.
