I am a beginning learner of Arabic. I have taught myself the alphabet and am trying to read a little bit. I'm listening to tapes in my car, and studying books when I can. My interest is in conversationa l Arabic, not for religious reasons. I am an ESOL Teacher, and thought that Arabic might help me communicate with my students. I'm not positive that I want to pay for lessons, but am curious about opportunities in the Atlanta area.

I will have taken 3 quarters of Arabic at University. I am learning arabic because i think it is a beatiful and useful language. i love all of my arabic classes at college and i just want to become really fluent. i basically need improvement in all aspects of arabic- possibly the most in conversationa l. i am willing to dedicate a lot of time to arabic. i want an instructor who is patient and enthusiastic and willing to put up with a student who may initially 'slaughter' the language-but i love it and i am determined to return to college in the fall with a much better grasp of the language. Right now i have a decent foundation in vocab, writing, etc. If I do not study during the summer I fear that in the fall I will forget everything.
