I am a beginner (no previous knowledge) of chinese. I plan on doing business in Beijing for 2008 Olympics. I would like to learn as much as possible in the next 2 years.
In addition, my wife is interested in learning with me. I would like to discuss with someone about training us both near our home in Suwanee GA.
I need to know pricing for both of us. Suggested dilect of chinese. I assume it is Mandarian Chinese, but is there something I am not aware of that I should be considering.
My overall goal is to learn enough to be able to conduct business prior to my arrival in 2 years.

My level of language proficiency is beginner. I have taken some introductory courses at university, however, I have never applied this to real life situations. I am learning for pleasure, not for business. I would prefer a lighter, less serious approach. One or two hours a week is sufficient, in a class-room environment. I work full time, and I would like to have the option of pursuing a number of different avenues of language learning simultaneousl y.
